First grocery trip for January!

Published by tracylyn under grocery deals Edit This

So I decided we could brave the cold and go to Publix this morning- I wanted to be sure to go before this week’s sale is over, since there is a sale on Olay Regenerist $3 off. I got two packs of the face cleansing wipes, on sale for $3.99, plus I had 2 $2 off coupons, and they have a mail in rebate for $15 when you buy two Regenerist items! So my total spent was $20.46 after tax and coupons - $15 mail in rebate means I really only spent $5.46! My rebate will go in the mail tomorrow, so hopefully I will get it back soon. I printed out a calendar for January, and just from looking through my freezer at what meats I have and things in the pantry plus a couple of things I got today, I have enough meals so far for up through the 14th! I know I’ll be back at the store soon for more milk though, so I’ll be looking for more meal ideas to add to the calendar. I’ll be adding this week’s meals in just a minute.

Grocery challenge for January

Published by tracylyn under grocery deals Edit This

So, I’ve decided to challenge myself for the month of January. My goal is to send no more than $100 this month for groceries. Who knows, if I do well, I may do the same for February. I’ve started a list for my calendar to plan dinners, and have lots of meal ideas so far with things we already have! This could be easier than I thought! My usual budget is $50 a week, so we will see.

New Year’s Resolutions…

Published by tracylyn under that's life Edit This

With the new year coming up fast, the resolutions are coming along with it. I’ve been thinking about mine already. I have a few, some small, some big. I hope I can keep them all and make them happen. I know I can if I just do it. First of all, I want to be sure to start taking vitamins every day. I always forget, when I really need to take them, so I have to just work on remembering. Exercise- I need to do something every day, but will be happy if I can get 5 days a week in, even if it’s just wii fit. I think I’ll be changing up my grocery budget as well, just haven’t figured out all the details. I’m not sure if it can get much lower though. I’ll have to add more as I think of it.

What are your resolutions?

Baby Einstein dvd guarantee

Did you know that if you have a Baby Einstien dvd that you would like to return to them, you can get a replacement book, coupon code, or 15.99 refund for each? (Up to 4 per household) Go to  http://babyeinstein.com/parentsguide/satisfaction/upgrade_us.html for all the details and form you need to send in with your dvd(s).

My daughter never had any interest in these, though I can see why. I always thought they were strange and boring myself. I’ll be sending 4 back in myself.
