It’s all over the news, you can’t avoid hearing about it. It’s flashing across my homepage, as well as on the front of my newspaper. The media does a great job of scaring people, sometimes I wonder if things are really as bad as they seem. Though, with me being the extra extra cautious Mommy that I am, I can’t help but worry. The CDC recommends frequent washing of your hands, and limiting travel if you are sick, though some don’t know they are sick until a couple of days into it. It seems the list of states is getting longer each day. Our state, Tennessee, was added last night when a student at a private school became sick.
Are you doing anything differently than normal? For how long?

Do you go to or host playdates? Since my daughter is an only child, we are part of a local Mommy group, with playdates once or twice a week. If you have been to one of these, I’m curious if they are all the same, or if it just me and my useless skill of noticing everything. It seems there are certain Mommies who always have the spotless child with the perfect hair, that you would swear they put hairspray on. They are not allowed to eat anything that would “taint” their outfit, or do anything messy such as fingerpaint (even the washable kind) I hate that these playdates are starting to become a chore for me, since she has so much fun, and loves going. I can’t help it though, I’m not a “people” preson. I’m shy and would much rather keep to myself, but I know it’s worth it when I see her having fun.
What are your experiences with playdates? Have you been brave enough to host one? I plan on attempting to host one once we get moved, but with our house being on the market, I don’t think it’s a good idea, since it seems like we always have to leave suddenly so someone can come see the house. Just don’t bring any Hawaiian punch or red juice, please.

Due to the changes with both, I’ll have to remove my widget for Entrecard. I’m hoping that people will bookmark my site to visit again, like I am doing many from Entrecard. Does anyone know of other sites like them? I would appreciate it!

For me, it was an easy decision, my main focus on Ebay is clothing. When I first started selling, it was because I had some nicer work outfits and I couldn’t bear to let them go for $1 at my yard sale, like I did other clothing. So I thought I’d just give it a try. I was surprised at how much they actually went for, one was for more than what I paid. Though that was about 5 years ago, I continued selling when we would clean out our closets. Now it is my job. I love it too. Clothes can be easy to sell at times. Just make sure they look neat in the pictures, not wrinkled, and mention everything in your listing. no detail is too much, and buyers will appreciate that. If there is a tiny snag, and it is otherwise perfect, mention it- you will be surprised to find that it will still sell usually. Another reason why I love selling clothes: nothing to break in shipping. I wrap my items in a piece of tissue paper and put in a poly mailer to ship. Now that I have a daughter, she outgrows her clothes so fast, sometimes she doesn’t get to wear them much. They sell great on Ebay, as well as her shoes, though as she gets bigger she is harder on her shoes. I love looking through the clothes at thrift stores-you never know what you will find. There are always lots of new with tags items to be found.
So I guess my point would be: sell something you have an interest in, that you enjoy. It makes it so much easier in the hunt for inventory, you have fun shopping for items too. I’m nto saying you shouldn’t sell breakable items. I have sold a few breakable items before, I just get a little nervous about them arriving okay, even with tons of bubble wrap, and perfect packaging something can happen to it.
Happy selling!
